(More customer reviews)This book is was an easy read. I would suggest it to a friend. I did find that the author was bias towards TM airsoft guns and some what disliked Chinese clones. Also he barely touched MOSFET modifications. This book is good if you use a lot of Internet websites and you tube videos as further references. It does give a nice grasp on what each modification will do to improve your guns performance. When I mentioned I was getting this book on an airsoft forum someone replied with, "books are a waste of time and money". I strongly disagree with this person and if you even gain one bit of usefully information from this book that alone is worth the price. I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 because,
Pros:
It gives a beginner a nice starting point on the mechanics on how an airsoft gun works and what parts are important.
Very fast and easy read where you will not loss interest or feel intimidated by what the author is trying to explain
Good guide lines on how to start your upgrade project and what parts should also be upgraded if you plan on changing a certain part. An example is the spring.
Nice illustration and pictures explaining parts.
Cons:
Author was bias about TM compared to Chinese clones. I feel their are a lot of nice clones out in the market, one being Dboys. If it was not for the affordable price of these guns I would not have gotten into the sport and know a lot of others that share the same feeling. I would have also not had the extra cash to spend 29.99 on a book.
For some players 29.99 might be a bit high for a book.
